As usual I’m back peddling on a band that I recently came to be a fan of in the past few months. Spinefarm and Fontana International re-released 4 older Children Of Bodom CDs this past week and I picked up Hatebreeder. Next I will probably pick up Follow The Reaper. I can see where people say they like older C.O.B. better. I like Hatebreeder. It seems a bit heavier than the new albums and one thing I can say about Children Of Bodom is that they are pretty consistent with their music. They are one of those bands that if you had not heard all their material you could still easily identify them as soon as you hear a new song that you haven’t heard before. So far this is what I have and in order of how much I like them. With a few more listens, Hatebreeder may be at the top very soon.

Children Of Bodom | Blooddrunk Review…Not Even Buzzed

So today was the big day I’ve been eagerly waiting for. The release of Children Of Bodom’s Blooddrunk. After Buying Hate crew Deathroll and Are You Dead Yet? I was pretty revved up to hear more and new stuff from Children Of Bodom. Unfortunately everyone was right. Blooddrunk, while still a pretty good CD, it just doesn’t do a lot for me. Disappointing a little.

I hate the compare it to other C.O.B. cds because I only have two others, but compared to Hatecrew, Blooddrunk is just a mediocre release. Compared to Are You Dead Yet? it is ok…but still not great. The title track, Blooddrunk, Banned From Heaven, Tie My Rope, and Roadkill Morning are the best out of the nine. It also came with a bonus DVD that I haven’t watched yet. Well it’s not much of a DVD, it’s all the Blooddrunk songs in 5.1 Dolby digital surround sound and the Blooddrunk Video and Making of. Perhaps Blooddrunk will grow on me after a few more listens. We’ll see.

Children Of Bodom Adds European Tour Dates

Finnish Thrashers, Children OF Bodom have added a few European Tour Dates to their Schedule. The new recording, Blooddrunk is to be released on April 15th (North American) on Spinefarm Records.

Children Of Bodom | Banned From Heaven Single

Children Of Bodom’s new track Banned From Heaven can now be heard streaming from Ultimate-guitar.com profiles. Banned from Heaven is from the upcoming Finish metal band’s release Blooddrunk via Spinfarm/Fontana International . I’m kinda diggin this new track and looking forward to the new record.

Blooddrunk is scheduled for an April 16th release for North America and April 7th for Europe. Keep an eye out for limited releases like a limited edition Single release with a Billy Idol cover, a 7″ vinyl, and a 12″ vinyl.
