Stratovarius have just released a new album called Polaris. I’m going to keep this short and simple as usual. I’m not the biggest fan of power metal. Sometimes it comes over as a bit cheesy, but if there is one thing that power metal has it positive lyrics and usually great musicianship. Polaris is no different.

Stratovarius, is a name I’ve heard quite a few times but never heard. I’ve seen empty slots in record stores with their name on it, but I’ve never seen a CD in it’s place. They’ve been around for quite some time, according to Wikipedia. Their first studio record came out 20 years ago and they’ve released numerous full length albums and Eps since then. The band has gone through so many line up changes over the years, in fact there aren’t any original member left.
