Internet Killed Music? I Think NOT!

Roberta over at Earsucker posted a story about Gene Simmons stating that the internet and illegal downloading has killed music. Perhaps it’s killing the music industry and record labels can’t make the money they used to by milking the bands for every cent they are worth then hanging them out to dry when they find the next big thing. Sorry “big label” boys, Those days are over. He goes on to say that there will never be another band like Kiss or The Beatles.

After hearing a few more songs like The Thing That Should Not Let It Be, I searched out youtube and this was the best for that song I could find. You can here the studio version with the songza.com jukebox. It sounds a lot better than the video. Have a sense of humor…and enjoy.

Beatallica? Yes this is actually old news. They have been around for awhile now and released their debut album “Sgt Hetfields Motorbreath Pub Band” back in July. Now I know what your thinking. The Beatles and Metallica…but how? Well I’ve listened to a few tracks and I’m still asking that same question, but somehow they make it work.
Fusing Metallica style riffs and lyrics in with classic Beatle tunes seems all to easy for these guys. The singer doing his best…probably THE best James Hetfield impersonation I’ve heard. Give them a listen with the songza players below and let me know …read more
