Since I started writing for The Rock Dose, I found myself exploring more modern rock bands and actually enjoying a lot of it. That doesn’t mean I’m abandoning metal, in fact it doesn’t even mean I’m listening to less metal. It just means I’ve been listening to shit I normally wouldn’t. I started the Metallica Poll 2 weeks ago and today I’m taking it down just to replace it with another useless, yet entertaining poll. Here is the results.
Master Of Puppets, although started off a bit slow won the poll with 30% of the votes (42/138)
…And Justice For All Started out strong but in the past week started to fall slightly short. AJFA took second place with 26% of the votes (36/138)
Ride The Lightning came in third with 16% and 22 votes.

I saw something yesterday that made me laugh. I was at Walmart yesterday and wandering through the CD section and I saw the Metallica Black Album without a price tag on it. Out of curiosity I reached down and picked it up and there was no plastic wrap on it and looking closer I noticed the seal had been neatly broken as well…no cd inside it either. First thought that came to mind…”Someone else doesn’t want to pay for that sh*t either.”

Sorry, Couldn’t resist the headline. It’s amazing, no matter how much bad press they get. No matter how crappy of a record they put out lately, Metallica can still sell out a concert in less than an hour. I honestly don’t know why they even bother writing new material and recording it. Holy crap, 2008 is here already. Where does the time go. Another year another year older my decrepit ass is. 2007 was a fun filled roller-coaster of madness, but here we are. It’s time for a whole new shitty year. A new president will be elected, “W” will finally be out and we can look forward to a whole new screwed up situation come ‘09.
