The position will not be held by the President until after George Bush has been retired from office as the U.S. President. Below are the key points that the new law contains:

• The law toughens criminal laws against piracy and counterfeiting.
• The Recording Industry Association of America and Motion Picture Association of America backed the bill, as did the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
• It is called the PRO-IP Act
• The ‘czar’ position will not be filled before Bush leaves office.
• Preliminary punishments involve seizing of pirated copies and the device on which the copies are stored. Hefty fines may also follow.

One last thing I hate is when people say retarded things like: "just another elitist ploy to fuk over the people. pay $20 for something that didn’t cost more than a dollar to make." Sure the physical CD only costed a few bucks to make, but it’s property. If you wrote a book you wouldn’t want people making Zerox copies or retyping the entire story on the Internet for everyone to get for free. Everybody wants something for free…

Creator Destructor Records is a label operated by Light This City’s Drummer Ben Murray. Starting small but sure to get much bigger.

Some of the larger records labels say the feet dragging issue is do to the fact that they have to figure out exactly how much compensation goes to which bands that have had their right “Infringed”. How many years has this been going on?

In my personal opinion the RIAA had no concern for the artists but the damage it was doing to their own pocket. But that’s just my feeble two cents.
