Justin Longshore, the band’s guitarist had this to say:

“The recording process for Skepsis has been going really well. We really focused on writing a record that will satisfy fans of our previous two records along with pushing new boundaries. Danny is currently finishing up vocal tracking and we couldn’t be any more satisfied with the way things are sounding. I’m really stoked for everyone to hear these new songs.”

The cover of the album was done by artist Paul Romano, who has also done covers for The Acacia Strain, Mastodon and The Red Chord, among many others.

Longshore commented,

“We had Paul Romano do the artwork once again and it is easily one of my favorite pieces he has done. It really captures the concept and music that is behind the album. We wanted the art to really project and not look like every other metal album that you see at your local record shop. We’ll be leaving for tour with Despised Icon in a week so make sure you come out and see an awesome tour! “

South Carolinian death metal quintet THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD have been confirmed as direct support to Whitechapel for the upcoming Bang Your Head ‘Til We Raise The Dead Tour, which is scheduled to start August 28 through the end of September, and will also feature Impending Doom, A Different Breed of Killer, and, on a handful of dates, Molotov Solution. The month of dates marks the band’s first time back out on the road since earlier this spring on a string of dates that included a stop at this year’s tenth annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival.

“We’re very excited to be an addition to the ‘BANG YOUR HEAD ‘TIL WE RAISE THE DEAD’ tour,” guitarist Justin Longshore says. “After wrapping things up on the tour with Animosity in April, we’ve been home this summer for a much needed rest and writing tons of new riffs and ideas for our next record.  Everything is coming along really well and we are pumped to finally be back out on the road again. Make sure you do not miss out on this tour!”

THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD continues to support its latest effort, ‘Malice,’ which saw an August 2007 release through Prosthetic Records. Featuring artwork by Paul Romano (The Red Chord, Mastodon, Trivium), ‘Malice’ is the band’s second full-length and was recorded with Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Cannibal Corpse), which has led to the live shows across North America both headlining and alongside the likes of As I Lay Dying, The Red Chord, As Blood Runs Black, Animosity, labelmates Beneath The Massacre and All That Remains and more. Soilwork, Through The Eyes Of The Dead, War Of Ages Set To Take Part

Orange County, CA – THROWDOWN will headline The Scum Of The Earth Tour which is set to kick off in February and will cross the United States (and some Canadian cities as well) through early April. It is the band’s first headlining tour in support of their new album, Venom & Tears, which was released in August.

Joining Throwdown on the bill for the Scum Of The Earth Tour, which is presented by Black Rose District Clothing, will be Swedish metal madmen Soilwork, whose own Sworn to a Great Divide was recently released to rave reviews from fans and critics. THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD are also onboard, touring in support of a new album of their own, Malice. War Of Ages rounds out what is sure to be a devastating lineup.

“We haven’t headlined our own tour in a long time, which is exciting,” commented Throwdown frontman Dave Peters. “The most rewarding thing about playing our songs live is interacting and communicating with the audience. And now that our new album has been out for a few months, the songs have had a chance to really sink in, and we’re looking forward to seeing people’s reactions to songs both new and old.”

“We’re also very stoked to be touring with Soilwork who are coming all the way over from Sweden,” Peters added. “And with THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD and War Of Ages onboard, it’s a very strong and diverse bill.”

Venom & Tears is Throwdown’s fastest-selling album, garnering favorable comparisons to landmark records by legendary metal bands while offering newfound metallic depth and emotional complexity. Peters recently interviewed Sepultura/ Soulfly founder Max Cavalera for Revolver’s “Rebel Meets Rebel” feature.

Throwdown have spent the last four years on the road as part of Vans Warped Tour, Ozzfest, Sounds of the Underground and as support for Machine Head, Soulfly, Lamb Of God, In Flames and As I Lay Dying, pausing briefly to write and record Venom & Tears and 2005’s Vendetta album.

Soilwork is currently part of a massive US tour with Killswitch Engage and Lamb Of God. The band’s new single is featured as a downloadable track for Guitar Hero III. THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD will soon shoot another video with director Dave Brodsky, having taken part in a sold-out tour with All That Remains and As I Lay Dying. War Of Ages is busy writing the followup to Pride of the Wicked, which will be produced by Tim Lambesis.

Malice, the follow up to 2005’s Bloodlust brings in Nate Johnson (ex-Premonitions Of War) on vocals. There are few people that I feel have a really good sound on the mic in terms of death metal. Chris Barnes, David Vincent and Glenn Benton have nothing on Nate Johnson singing about the horrific reality of todays world.

With lyrics geared toward corruption, disease, genocide and tyranny, and the fact that we are a virus to planet Earth as you can see in the lyrics to Welcome To The Wasteland at the bottom . Malice says it all.

Justin Longshore (Guitar), Chris Anderson (Guitar), and Jake Ososkie (bass), lay the foundation of heavy fist pounding riffs, while Josh Kulick does a hell of a job on drums keeping it interesting by not over using the blast-beats that often riddle many modern metal records.

A forceful step up from previous recordings, Malice takes Through The Eyes Of The Dead to the next level in modern metal.
