According to an interview conducted by Hellena Mihailidou of Metalzone.gr, a Greek metal site, Tommy is up to no good again with plans of a new Methods Of Mayhem album.

Tommy: I am working on a new Methods Of Mayhem record and hopefully we’ll get that thing done by May or June and go on Crue fest

I think I speak for about 99% of the metal/rock community when I say: Please Tommy, tell me…What did we ever do to you to deserve this?

No matter how old Alice Cooper gets…he still has some very nice teeth. Must have a good dental plan.

Tommy Lee, as much as I hate him and think he is such an over-rated, mediocre drummer…you can not deny that he can twirl a drum stick like no other.

That thing on Lemmy’s face gets bigger every time I see it.

George Corpse-grinder Fisher’s neck is much wider than his head.

Black metal is still the goofiest genre in metal…even compared to Nu-Metal.

Every Time I see a Manowar or Venom band photo…I have laugh.

I don’t care how gay Rob Halford is and what he’s done in his personal life, he is by far one of the best Metal vocalists ever…EVER!

No matter what Dave Mustaine says or does to make people despise him he will always be an under-rated guitar player and an absolutely amazing song writer.

Metallica, even though they have written and recorded some of he most classic songs in metal, a lot of people can not get past the shit they have done since 1990 and they will will go down in metal history as the band that went from great to…eh. Will they ever recover? Even maybe one last time? I would like to hope they can but my faith in Metallica pretty much went to shit with St. Anus.

Lastly, Ronnie James Dio and Rob Zombie. Now matter how old RJD gets and how far his hairline recedes, or how much of a tool Rob Zombie can be..their both really cool and have made an impact in metal.

Holy shit it’s been forever since I did a Metal Shavings bit. I’ve been covering so much press releases and such lately that I have lacked the human side of this site. My opinion is my outlet on things that are wrong, right or indifferent. And like everyone else I have to get shit off of my chest. Let’s see what we have on our platter tonight…

Anheuser Busch settled it’s lawsuits with the families of victims of the 2003 Station nightclub fire, paying 21 million dollars as opposed to going any further with legal actions and fees. How the hell Anheuser Busch was responsible in any way of this tragedy is beyond me. It’s like the stupid woman that didn’t know here McDonalds coffee was hot. The legal and justice system in this country is all f*cked up. Next up to settle is the company that makes the urinal candies…cause you know they are responsible for this somehow as well.

Morbid Angel announced earlier this week that they have added a new guitar player into the mix. That’s cool to take a little pressure off of Trey Azagthoth. It’s also really cool to see the band back to the best line up with David Vincent back on vocals. The new guitarist is Thor Anders Mythren from Zyklon.

You may have saw earlier that All That Remains have names their new recording ‘Overcome‘ as opposed to ‘Fozzy’, which I suggested on Blabbermouth awhile back due to Chris Jericho’s band naming their last album All That Remains. ‘Overcome’, a kind of a generic name for an album in my opinion but I think Phil may have been having some personal problems during the time of recording or whatever and perhaps this is where the name came from. Phil also said it’s a much darker album than The Fall Of Ideals. I don’t give a shit what they name it, it’s sure to kill! ATR!!!

Lars Ulrich’s father says the new cd “Sounds like Metallica” which could mean a number of things but at least he didn’t say “Delete that” like he did on Some Kind Of Monster, which in my opinion they should have listened to him. Whatever…we’ll see.

Hammerfall is releasing a Cover album with a bunch of cool songs on it…Makes me wonder why Dream Theater never did this because whenever you heard them doing covers live, they always sounded amazing. Or did they actually do this? They should.

Tommy Lee will be lending his voice to a half hour animated series called “The Life and Times Of Jimmie Jaxx” which is supposedly based on actual events of his life. So what they are saying is this cartoon is going to be about a mediocre drummer who screws a super-model, makes 4 different career changes in an attempt to stay relevant, and ends back up in the same band that gave him fame but he wanted to abandon but realized that THIS was the only way he could stay semi-relevant….does that make sense?

Well that’s all the cynicism and/or enthusiasm I can expend in one day.

In the first part of this article I talked about bands that are hated because they changed styles or just are not really accepted by a lot of metal fans in the community of the huge dysfunctional family we call Heavy Metal. Now I’m going to talk about some of the Metal stars that somewhere along the line thought that they are better than other people and look down upon people, both fans and other bands as peasants in their kingdom of fame. Some of the stars become cocky and self righteous douche bags. Now lets have a little fun and throw some names out there.

Metal Diva #1. Dave Mustaine. Good old Dave is hated by not only a lot of fans but a lot of other metal stars. He’s made more enemies than friends throughout the years and always has something to say about something. A lot of times Dave speaks intelligently and says some very pointful things on controversial issues. Then there are those times that Dave says some really stupid and ego-eccentric things that make you say “WTF?”, like when he has to remind people that he’s a “Legend”. We know you are Dave but it just sounds ridiculous when you actual say it.

Rob Zombie has become somewhat of a metal diva. I don’t know if you want to call him that, but when you start demanding stuff on your rider before shows and insisting that other bands on tour do not talk to you or even look at your wife/girlfriend then you just come off as a complete ass. I almost forgot…Also Rob put out a greatest hits CD and didn’t credit the former members of White Zombie anywhere in the credits…not even a mention of any of them.

Sebastian Bach…nothing more to add.

Axl Rose…I could use Axl for the complete subject of part 3. But I don’t want to make this a three parter.

Ozzy Osbourne. Dude…your the “Prince Of Darkness” not the god of metal. Did you know that almost nobody on the Ozfest card gets to actually meet Ozzy unless you already know him and are in tight with Sharon and Ozzy. It’s kind of crazy what fame does to people.

Phil Anselmo is hated because he also comes off as a cocky, arrogant prick. A lot of people attribute their hatred to the fact that Phil broke up Pantera which leads others to blame him for the death of Dimebag. Rita Haney blames a big part of Dimes death on Phil saying that if Pantera had not broke up then Dime would not have been playing that shit-hole of a club. I think Dime liked playing those shit-hole clubs and a lot of big names play the Alrosa Villa. Quit trying to point fingers Rita. The only one you can blame is the Schizo that pulled the trigger.

Tommy Lee, once a legendary drummer (why? I don’t know), Tommy ventured into doing a solo record that bombed, a crappy band that bombed and at 40 something years old he’s trying to be a DJ. Thankfully he will always have Motley Crue to lean back on.

I could go on about a lot more Metal Divas but honestly it would start to become redundant. The thing about a lot of the Metal stars is that no matter how huge their egos get, no matter what they say, we still have an undying loyalty to them in a sense. There are times that you are embarrassed to be a fan but you would not let that stop you from banging your head when you hear your favorite song from that band. It wouldn’t stop you from sticking up for that person or band when someone that is not a metal fans talks trash about them. It’s like sibling love. You can pick on and talk shit about your brother or sister all you want but if someone else does it then “Them there are fightin’ words”. We can talk trash about them because in the end we are fans and that’s part of what we are and have become. I said in a recent comment to someone that opinion are opinions, but the truth pisses people off. We’ll see how many people get pissed at me for this post.

Sometimes it gets to be a bit ridiculous but we carry on in one big love/hate relationship with each other as fans and bands and I wouldn’t have it any other way!!!

1. Dave Mustaine: Although with his musical genius comes the fact that he is one of the most hated metal musicians in the industry. Over the years he has made more enemies than friends. However, I would love to be credited with writing some of the masterpieces he has written.

2. Lars Ulrich: If I was Lars I would kick my own ass.

3. Glenn Benton: A person that takes himself and his music so seriously that he deems it fit to burn an upside down cross into his forehead is as demented as Charles Manson and deserves even less respect. I’m sure your grandchildren will love that, Glenn!

4. Lemmy Kilmister: This guy is more ugly than I am and I just can’t have that.

5. Tommy Lee: I don’t care how big the “T-Bone” is and who it’s been in, Tommy Lee is now in my book the King of Posers and get’s absolutely no respect for abandoning and defiling the Legacy of Motley Crüe.

6. Ozzy Osbourne: The Oz-man has pickled his brain to the point of no return. That and I couldn’t stomach being married to “SHARRROOON!”.

7. Maz Cavelera: I like to wash my hair.

8. Kerry King: I like having hair… the little bit that I keep anyway.

9. Evan Sienfeld: I couldn’t kiss Terra Patrick knowing how many penis’s have been in her mouth…and other places.

10. Sebastian Bach: From Youth Gone Wild to Decrepit Douche bag.

I could probably think of a few more but I think I will leave it at that. Don’t get me wrong. I am a fan and I respect 98% of the musicians on this list. I just wouldn’t want to be them.
