Rodrigo y Gabriela have added a number of October dates to their upcoming North American tour. With the new album, 11:11, being released on September 8th, the tour begins in mid-September and now runs through most of October.

Dirge Within have made the title track from their debut album available for free. They recently finished wrapped up a video for the song “Forever the Martyr” in Charlotte, North Carolina, and I personally think that’s a fantastic name for a song.
Force Fed Lies is due out September 1st, and is being released by E1 Music, and the band is going to be on the “Into the Mouth of Hell We Tour” in September and October with Trivium, Whitechapel and Darkest Hour.

So many bands tour the world over and rarely get outside of the tour bus. They drink themselves into an oblivion and rarely get out and see the world around them. Most of the time it’s younger, non-veteran bands that do this. They don’t take the time to get out and explore some of the things often taken for granted when the opportunity arises. We (my friend Martin and I) got to the the venue (The National) in Richmond Virginia about an hour before my first interview of the event with Corey Beaulieu of Trivium. Nothing kills time like watching Robot Chicken on an iPod, so the time went by pretty quick. I made my phone call to the tour manager to let her know I was there, but she didn’t answer. Anyone that talks trash about Trivium has obviously never been to see them live. Saturday night was a great show. The Human Abstract opened up the show. I wasn’t in to them but they put on a good show as did 36 Crazyfists. I have to give it up for the headliners, Trivium and All That Remains.
