Dallas, TX’s The Destro have two for Tuesday as they premiere two new songs from their forthcoming full-length Harmony Of Discord.  The track “Persistence Of Ignorance” has premiered on MetalSucks.net while “Justifiers Of Malice” is running on the band’s own MySpace page.  Harmony Of Discord is the band’s sophomore album on Ironclad Recordings and drops on October 13th.  Speaking on the new album guitarist Nick Emde said:

“On writing this new album we threw away multiple riffs going on in songs, we cut out any soloing and it’s twice as heavy as our other material and totally focused” says guitarist Nick Emde.  “As a guitarist I’m influenced by Napalm Death as they are completely fast, completely brutal with no filler but it leaves you satisfied.”

Signed by Trevor Phipps of Unearth for his Ironclad Recordings, the band released their debut As The Coil Unwinds in 2007.  The album received praise from the metal elite including national publications such as Outburn who said “The band harkens back in time when renegades like Metallica wrote grand masterpieces of metal compositions… pure metal sans the trends and flashy gimmickry.”  The usually reserved Decibel Magazine wholeheartedly concurred saying “The Destro nailed it pretty spectacularly from the percussive drum production and groove-heavy song tempos to the raw-throated vocals and squealy drop-tuned guitar riffs.”

]]> Unearth The March Unearth guitarist Buz McGrath will be sitting out of Unearth’s headlining tour that kicked off on Friday. Buz and his wife are in the process of adopting a baby from overseas…because there isn’t any orphan babies in America, I guess. My opinion aside, he will be temporarily replaced by Emil Werstler of Daath. This tour also includes Emmure, Impending Doom and Born Of Osiris. Tour Dates are below.

]]> Unearth The March On January 9th Unearth will head out on a headlining tour in support of The March, an album in my ipod that doesn’t get nearly as much play as it should. They’ll be heading out with Emmure, Impending Doom and Born Of Osiris.

After their headlining tour they will head out as support on the Defenders Of The Faith Tour with Lamb Of God and Dimmu Borgir in the UK. Following that tour up with a trip to Australia for the Australian Soundwave Festival. and then to Japan for a few shows with Lamb Of God and In Flames. Tour dates after the fold.

]]> Unearth The March Unearth landed themselves on the Billboard 200 with their first weeks sales of The March clocking in at just under 11,000 copies. This placed them at #45, while France’s Gojira didn’t do so well with their second album on the Prosthetic label, The Way Of All Flesh only selling around 4,200 copies. I thought The Way Of All Flesh would sell much better considering the buzz around this band and the response that their previous album, From Mars To Sirius, received. While 4,200 was still pretty good and enough to land them at #138 on the Billboard 200, it still seems to me that it would Gojira The Way Of The Flesh have sold more with all the people on the Internet praising them. However, it’s still early on, so with some touring this album could end up selling much better. If you haven’t checked out The Way Of All Flesh, I highly recommend it especially if you like From Mars To Sirius.

Gojira – The Way Of All Flesh (Prosthetic) Amazing. enough said. Get it!

Book Of Black Earth – Horoskopus (Prosthetic) If you like death metal and you like black metal or the blackened death metal than this is something worth picking up.

Early Man -Beware The Circling Fin (The End Records) Thrash throwback down a lot better than most of the bands doing it right now.
