Gibson Salutes Metal’s Power Trios.
July 27, 2008 by Scott

I saw this Boris video last night on Headbanger’s Ball and I was extremely bored with not only the music but the video as well. And something creeps me out about the look on the guitarist face. She’s got an angry, ‘cheat on …read more

That thing on Lemmy’s face gets bigger every time I see it.

Venom New Record Pushed Back To Next Year
Old School British Black Metal band Venom (I’m not a fan) have pushed the release of their new record back to next year. Below is an excerpt from an article from Blabbermouth.net.
British black metal pioneers VENOM have decided to re-record some of the already completed tracks for their upcoming album and push back the CD’s projected release date to early 2008.
Devil Music Part. 2: The Number of the Beast $6.66.
Moving forward to the eighties, heavy metal spawned many “Satanic” bands into popularity. Venom, Slayer, Merciful Fate, the whole nine. These days there is still a slew of Satanic bands but lets face it, 97% of it is gimmick. The other 3% is those crazy black metal Scandinavian bands; they take their devil music seriously!!
Writing songs these days isn’t easy because after all what is there to write that hasn’t already been written about. If you lived a good life and you don’t want to be a poser you don’t write songs about how hard your life was growing up. …read more

Devil Music: Satan Sells…But Who’s Buying?
As we all know when you ask the average person off the street what the first thing they think of when you say the words “Heavy Metal”, they will tell you “Devil Music”. That’s what we expect from the ignorant, but ignorant or not it is what a lot of heavy metal has been based around for a long time.
This didn’t all start with heavy metal contrary to what everyone wants to believe. The devil in music dates far back to the early days of the blues when Robert Johnson a famous short-lived blues musician …read more
