That’s all as far as updates for this evening. I promised my son we would play some Guitar Hero: Aerosmith tonight and I’m looking forward to kicking a ten year olds ass at a video game…maybe. He’s getting really good at it.

Lamb Of God Walk With Me IN Hell Give Away

So this month I will giving away a brand new copy of Walk With Me In Hell to one lucky winner. I was trying and hoping that Lamb Of God’s PR from Sony/Epic would be cool enough to supply me with a copy, but they weren’t so I have to come out of my own pocket as usual for this.

How do you win? This is another one of those comment contests. Search the archives, go back in time a bit and sift through all the B.S., article, and news I’ve written or reported about. Leave at least a few words of opinion whether it’s good or bad,  whatever. I’ll keep track of who’s who and who has how many comments. It’s kind of a help me, help you thing. On August 1st, I will announce the winner. Unfortunately this contest is only open to U.S. and Canadian residents.

No, the Cracker Challenge is not Olympics for white people only. It’s a challenge where you have to try to eat 6 Saltine crackers in under 60 seconds. Sounds easy right? Not when you aren’t allowed to have any water or anything else to drink for that matter. While I was in the military we had something similar they called The Ranger Challenge. If you have ever eaten MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) crackers then you know how dry they are. the challenge there is to eat them and have them swallowed without anything to drink in under 2 minutes. I’ve never seen it done.

1. Ashes Of The Wake – Every song on this album are killer. No two ways around it.
2. As The Palaces Burn – The 11th Hour, Boot Scraper and Blood Junkie, just to name a few. This in my opinion is their second best work.
3. Sacrament – While this album is a bit more catchy, you can hear how Randy’s voice has evolved and is a brilliantly engineered sounding recording.
4. New American Gospel – Lamb Of God’s debut with their “New Name” is one of my least favorite because even the re-mastered version leaves some production value to be desired.
5. Burn The Priest – Lamb Of God’s first record with their original name gives you the band in their most raw form. I included this album because after all…it’s still Lamb Of God.

With every album you can see how the band has improved their form and sound. Call them what you want, Lamb Of God is a hard working American metal band that purely kicks ass. With a new 2 disk DVD coming July first called Walk With Me In Hell through a distribution deal with RoadRunner Records , I’m really anticipating another cool dvd. Killadelphia showed the good, the bad, and the ugly of the band on the road.
