Earth Crisis have set a date of May 5th for the release of their newest album “To The Death” on Century Media records. The straight-edge hardcore band out of Syracuse, NY self produced and recorded the album in the neighboring city of Utica and the final mix was done by Tue Madsen, the Danish producer who has bands like Sick Of It All, The Haunted, Aborted and Himsa on his resume.

Walls Of Jericho Head Out On Tour With Otep And Ill Niño

After working the Jägermiester stage at the first Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest, and Wrapping “Hell On Earth“, Walls Of Jericho are heading out on tour with Otep and Ill Niño (I didn’t know these guys were still playing).  The tour will kick off on October 27th in New Port Richey Florida and wrap up in West Hollywood California on November 30th.

The next bands on the bill I wanted to cover were The Red Chord and Walls Of Jericho. I got to see The Red Chords’ set kind of late, got some pictures and then had to run to the Rockstar Energy tent to get to Machine Head’s signing session. Metal Shavings will now be called “The Scrap Metal Report” because I think it sounds cooler and I run this show so I can do that kind of stuff. I’ll come up with a logo later. Even though a lot of the tour dates for the upcoming Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest dates have been announced already here are some  dates posted by Roadrunner.com. You can also register for presale tickets. You can bet the farm I’m going to cover this show in August  in Virginia Beach. Now, I have to try to figure out how to get a press pass. Rockstar Energy Mayhem Tour Update

The Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour kicks off in july and will run through August. The shows will play 30 North American Amphitheaters. Topping the bill will supposedly be Slipknot and Disturbed, both of which are supposed to have new CDs out this year. Last time I heard nothing was set in stone for Slipknot. Also rumored to be joining the bill are Mastodon, Dragonforce, Walls Of Jericho, Sevendust and Suicide Silence.
