Lamb Of God Forbid: EarthsWrath News

Lamb Of God Forbid: EarthsWrath News

A week later and as usual we have some chart and sales results for two great albums. We all expected Lamb Of God’s Wrath to sell well and sold well it did. I mean, it didn’t sell Slipknot or Metallica well, but it still did pretty good selling around 68k copies and landing the album in the #2 spot on the Billboard 200 charts, losing that number 1 spot to Taylor Swift. Sadly this is only about 5k more than they sold during the first week of Sacrament’s release. This could be attributed to the economy or the fact …read more

A Few Things On This Last Day Of February 2009

Holt crap! One down, 10 to go already. I have a feeling this year is going to fly by faster than 2008. Today I’m supposed to be in Atlanta Georgia covering Scion Rock Fest. Due to my desire to move back to upstate NY I have decided that I need to save some money for the big move and going to Scion Rock Fest would put a big dent in my savings.

The new album is out and in case you haven;t picked it up yet, spend the extra dollar and buy the deluxe edition that comes with “The …read more

Stream Wrath, Make Your Own Call

Stream Wrath, Make Your Own Call

Lamb Of God’s Wrath comes out next week and I posted my thoughts on it on Monday. Solid record, but not my favorite of 2009. I eager to see what God Forbid has to offer, but right now my favorite for the year is Cattle Decapitation: The Harvest Floor. Napalm Death: Time Waits For No Slave was great and I even liked Sepultura’s A-Lex. Cannibal Corpse released a solid death metal album in Evisceration Plague and Scale The Summit’s Carving Desert Canyons is the best instrumental, guitar driven album I have heard in a long time.
Now you can stream the …read more

Lamb Of God Re-Write The Lyrics Contest Winner

The winner for the Lamb Of God Wrath Re-write the lyrics contest is “ST” with his Bristol Palin version of Turbo. I’m still in the Sarah Palin hating mode and it won me over right from the start. Next time I’ll pick a better song, that one just happened to be stuck in my head at the time. “ST”, you’ve been sent an email. Thanks to everyone that entered. Once again here is the winning re-write:
I’m a hockey lover, did I birth my brother?I’m a moose meat lover, used my mom for cover.
We held each other closer; gave in …read more

Lamb Of God: Set To Fail Video

Lamb Of God: Set To Fail Video

Perhaps the best song on this album (review coming soon), Lamb Of God’s Set To Fail has a certain Pantera-esque feel to it. That’s not a bad thing at all considering that I wish there could have been more  Pantera songs. Shit happens and Phil had issues and the rest of the band had to move on for a short period that turned out to be a disaster. Not because the music was bad, because Damageplan was awesome. This new L.O.G. is a great song and keep an eye out for my review of Wrath in the near future. Enjoy …read more

Want to win a copy of Lamb Of God’s Wrath and have it delivered by the release date? Now’s your chance. Not only that, but it will be the Deluxe version. Now this is a really easy concept. You know sometimes when you’re singing a song and you start singing some stupid/funny lyrics instead of the real lyrics? Well now you can benefit from it. Re-write the following classic Judas Priest lyrics…without any reference to homosexuality. Make it funny and I’ll pick the winner on the 13th.
