The Great White Night Club Fire Saga Rolls On
Almost 5 years later and they are still trying to point fingers and blame more people for the lives lost back on February 20th, 2003 in the Great White Fire incident. Now I guess someone has reached a tentative 30 million dollar settlement. Honestly what is 30 million dollars going to do for anyone that lost someone they loved there. Will it make them happy? Will it bring them back?
Now they are trying to pin some of the blame a television camera crew that was there to document of all thing public safety. They are saying that the camera crew got in the way of people trying to flee the burning building. Why not blame the builders of the club for not making the door wide enough for a mob of fearful people to get out in a disorderly fashion. Or we can blame the parents of the band members, because if the parents didn’t birth them this would not have happened. I could go on and on with hateful sarcasm about who’s to blame.
I think we are all tired of people blaming and trying to point fingers. You know who I think is to blame is the band. For Christ sake it was Great White not The Rolling Stones. Why the hell were they trying to use pyrotechnics in a club. Not a stadium, not a amphitheater, A DAMN CLUB. The dumb-ass nightclub manager should have been on top of things as well. What’s done is done and the only thing that can happen now is prevent stupid shit like this from happening again. You think people would have learned from Pepsi and Michael Jackson.
