Venus Doom | Some Kind Of Sick Joke?

As most of you know, I have this sheer hatred for Ville Valo. Why? Because I can’t stand the way he is all over the place, the way he acts like some metal Diva and I hate the heartagram. However, I have not heard much HIM music and the stuff I did hear was not all that bad. Now to my point. Someone, probably a disgruntled HIM fan sent me an opened (Used) copy of Venus Doom recently. I guess that’s what I get for posting my address online. Anyway, I listened to it and what I can say is this: It’s NOT metal, it’s rock, but a soothing rock melody and Ville has a decent voice…but IT’S NOT METAL I don’t care what color you paint it. One complaint I do have about the music is that each and every song seems too long. Just when you think it’s finally over it drags on for another minute and a half.
So there I said it, HIM’s music is alright. I may lose some respect and/or “cool points” for saying this, but screw it…every metal fan has some rotten skeletons that most are too afraid to show, so piss off. If you want to just relax and listen to rock songs about love and suicide then it’s perfect for you. This will probably go into my collection of Guilty Pleasures but I still stand my ground when I say that I still don’t-like-Ville…and to his hardcore fans that kiss the ground he walks on…grow up, he’s just some grubby, love starved dude that doesn’t give two flying shits about you or your love letters to him! Idols are for people that can’t live for themselves!

ok. I´m a HIM fan and I understend your point: It’s not metal.
I am disgruntled with Dark Light but I think Venus Doom it’s a great job, and I love who the songs finish, with this minute and a half more. So not only Ville shine in this album.
I love HIM because help me,I’m feeling identify with the sentiment of their music, make me dream and make me a bit happie with their job. But I can live for myself. Not everybody be the same, do the same things. For exemple…
Around 3 years ago I went to a HIM concert and when the show finished a lot of girls fans take the cigarette butts of Ville. Ok they kiss the ground he walks on…but I don’t do it. Ville is just a person like you and me, he isn’t a Diva and if he thinks that he is a Diva of Rock is his problem!
I recomend you see beyond what you see(like in the Lion King 3 XD) becouse the lirics not just are about love and suicide. But alright! like I said before not everybody love the same things so well! you give your opinion and I give my opinion. Good!

i’m also sorry for my rudeness i’m happy that you at least admit that he sounds okay but, hes not a diva the only reason people hates him is because of his fan make him look bad and you don’t like the heartagram i have a tattoo of it on my neck
and not trying to be mean but if you hate Ville so much why do you know so much about him?
