It would be frustrating, but at least I could walk and do things with my hands, and what is the most important, I could see. becoming blind would be absolutely the worst choice. Which is why I now wear ear-plugs at concerts, even though people take the piss. At the end of the day, I want to be able to keep going to concerts and enjoying them for the rest of my life - wearing plugs is a small price to pay, I'm thinking.
