Win All That Remains Overcome

November 7, 2008 by Scott

All That Remains Overcome I have a copy of All That Remains new album Overcome. It’s an open copy because I had intentions of getting it signed when I interviewed ATR last month. Unfortunately that didn’t happen, but it’s still in mint condition and can be all yours. All you have to do to win is name your favorite ATR song and tell me why you dig that song in the comment section below. Contest open to US and Canadian residents only. Only one entry required but it doesn’t hurt to comment more than once. I’ll pick a winner on November 28th. Enter now!

Also today kicks off All That Remains tour with headliners In Flames and label-mates Gojira, with 36 Crazyfists opening the show. You can check out a tour poster after the fold. Overcome has sold more than 70,000 copies in less than two months since it’s release on September 16th.

i’m am very stoked to be checking out that tour when it hits up vancouver.
already own the album so, i’ll just rattle off favourites from some albums.
this darkened heart - just a good song, always a fan of a song with a chorus you can just bloody bellow till your throat is raw.

air that i breathe - one of the songs that really made me look into them, just liked how phil’s vocals got better and it just drove it home on this song, plus, the guitar just really stood out for me. and with this song, dad and i really clicked, he never really talked about metal much or anythin, but after this he realized i liked metal a lot and heard a lot of wicked stories from his early days, like meeting bruce dickinson.

chiron- for about that same reason as this darkened heart, the song just flows well and after the solo when it is just the first few lines of the chorus is just awesome.

i can’t really comment on their first album because it is damn near impossible to find.

    Cant decide,
It is definately between The Weak Willed and
Focus Shall not fail - If I really had to I would probably say that It was the Weak Willed because it is faster, and so balls to the wall, but both have inspirational lyrics (which if find strange but cool that they do what they want and not what is expected)

I like Focus shall not fail because of the harmonizing of the guitars and I like Phil’s Vocal range

Also The Weak Willed is just really fast and makes me want to go lift some weights. it is really persice and also the vocal range is good in that one too.

Cant say much about Overcome Because I have not bought it yet.

If you can’t find Behind Silence And Solitude try Proisthetic records website. I’m sure they have it, but be prepared for something very different from This Darkened Heart and Fall Of Ideals. It was the first ATR album I bought and it was cool to me, but then I heard The Fall Of Ideals and new I just had to have This Darkened Heart. Both of them are amazing albums and This Darkened Heart is my favorite of them all.

I like the weak willed because it has such a death metal feel to it, even though it technically can’t be called death metal. Still a cool song and sounds great live.

I seen all that remains in ft. wayne , ind this yr. they were amazing. my favorite songs are this calling. It is a great opening song and it dwells in me. it always gets me moving. the only songs I heard off of overcome is forever in your hands and days without. the songs were played live and sounded great dale.

My favorite song is The Weak Willed from The Fall of Ideals. I like the lyrical content which says we should stand up for our beliefs, but not become prideful. Also, it says wise men understand the difference between compromise and giving up one’s belief. I think the message of this song is worth taking to heart.
