I teach high school, but a good friend of mine is a kindergarten teacher. One day a little boy tattled on another, telling my friend the other student said the “B” word. Wondering exactly which “B” word, she called the boy over and asked him to repeat what he had said. He did not want to repeat it for the teacher, but after some prodding he finally admitted to saying “Bagina”.

Back in 1997, Tulsa, Ok at “EdgeFest” I went to see some bands, my first concert. i remember Limp Bizkit came out first, yea they were totally cool back then. haha and I decided to mosh with the other 5 drunk, fat, shirtless guys… go figure. I wanted to just say I tried it, I was 14 at the time, 5 foot 1 and not drunk. i ran into the mosh pit so excited and hyped. I was standing in the middle, like ok now what? well thats when this huge fat, shirtless dude came running straight towards me and just plowed right into me knocking me about 2 feet off the ground and I slammed down hard on my ass. It was pretty damn scary but I got back up and was dazed for a minute. I have not got back into a mosh mit since.

so, me and another gal were just standing there in between bands waiting for ministry start, talking about what we were going to do after the show. when all of a sudden the music started out of nowhere, we got mowed down immediately as a pit started all around us. someone dragged me out of harms way. i left with only a fw bruises.

Ever seen a mosh pit at a bluegrass show? If you havent check out the Avett Brothers. They’re not really bluegrass, they rock hard, but they play banjo, standup bass and acoustic guitar, but they ROCK! and its the only moshpit you’ll see at a bluegrass festival!

The best Mosh Pit story that I have is when I went to see Tool in New Orleans. Mannard entered the stage half white/blue in his underwear! The crowd went crazy! When he started singing everyone started pushing against the gate. I was right up front and felt like I was being squashed to death. I decided to move back and get away from the gate so I could enjoy the show. I got pushed right into the mosh pit. This young kid was running around trying to injure the people around him. He hit me so hard I almost fell down. He came at me again and I could not get away. A third time he bolted at me and I just stuck my fist out and he knocked himself out onto the floor still. Everyone was laughing and I just calmly walked away to a “safe” zone. I had bruises for weeks and the satisfaction of a right hook! LOL
