You Review It | In Flames A Sense Of Purpose

This week In Flames released A Sense Of Purpose which blew away any other myspace stream preview in myspace history. So With that, the records out but you can still preview tracks from A Sense Of Purpose on In Flames Myspace. I’m a new fan and I have only heard a handful of older In Flames songs.
I already did my quick review on it. Now I want to hear what you guys think. Newer and older fans of In Flames. A Sense Of Purpose…YOU review it!

Is it me or is this really fucking lazy? In Flames have been gash for ages, though I might give this album a listen anyway.
Hey there, I’m actually an old In Flames fan, but I was really interested as well about their new album, given their somewhat spotty history–a lot of longer fans like myself have been annoyed for a while due to recent albums’ change in style. But I really like this one actually, I think that even though they more or less stuck with the style they established in the last few albums, they made it their own. They finally found their footing in the new genre they’ve chosen for themselves. I have a slightly longer review on my blog as well, and I’d be interested to hear what you have to say about my take on it if you have time!
Pablo, if your referring to me, the writer of this blog, as lazy understand a few things. I’ve already done a few things on In Flames this week so this time I wanted to hear what others had to say about it. Secondly, I work 9 hours a day at a regular job and I also write one other blog besides this one so forgive me if I don’t write a four paragraph right up or review on a band that I don’t know a lot about. My attempt here on the “You Review it” feature is to find out what other people think of a band or a new CD. Unlike other blogs, I like to know what my readers are into and what they aren’t.

I was overall really impressed with the CD. I’ve listened to it a few times since I first heard it, and it hasn’t gotten old. It has a really nice flow to it. You start off high, get sad, then end on a more up-tempo note. All in all, a great CD.
Shortly said, In Flames is not as interesting as years ago. This new album is not lousy, but their first albums sound better. This new one just doesn’t kick my ass.
i agree, I got this looking for awesome guitar work like in Whoracle, but instead I got what felt like a new band. Not bad, but could have been much better.
