You’re Lamb Of God’s New Producer
November 6, 2007 by Scott
Lamb of God has a crazy idea where they are going to re-release Sacrament and let you remix, master and produce the record to your liking by using any mac or pc and even share your mix online.
This sounds pretty cool to me, but honestly…what can you do to this record production-wise that would make it any better. Unless your a technophile and you turn it into a techno-beat mix or something that you would dig more, I couldn’t think of changing a damn thing about this record that would make it better.
Here is an excerpt from lamofgod.tv.
“Track and add your own effects, vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and anything else you can imagine! Isolate tracks to help learn or to play/sing along. Create your own new unique songs or loops by cutting apart, rearranging or mixing up tracks or even entire songs. The possibilities are endless and the tools are now in your hands.”
You know what gets me is the people on blabbermouth that say sh*t like: “wow, I actually like this idea even though I hate the band.” and ” This band is alright, but this idea is f**kin cool”. To this say : What are you guys listening to that is so much better? Cause I really want to know, cause right now if there is anything better I want to hear it. I’m not kissing LOG’s ass or anything but I consider them the best modern American metal band right now. With all the other garbage out there You can’t go wrong with LOG.
To all you hateful bastards out there that think your so damn good, I’d just like to see you put together a band that can sound even a fraction as good as these guys do and maybe I’ll buy your record, and then I’LL remix it…right in the crack of my ass!

Sweet idea, and would be great for upcoming musicians to play along to their favourite songs. More bands should do this!

This is a great idea. The first thing I would do is rerecord the guitars on a real guitar amp instead of those horrible POD computer boxes that play for them. Then I would rerecord the drums using real drums instead of those horrible sounding triggers that they use. Then I would get a real metal vocalist to redo the vocals. And Voila! these quite decent songs would sound like their supposed to.

That’s why I hate blabblermouth.
My thoughts exactly, oscar
You used the wrong form of “your” in the title. It should be “you’re.”
Yeah, it is a excellent idea, imagine if Nile did this, oh damn, only thing I can’t see anyone changing is George Kollias’ drumming. But seriously, you’re making yourself look bad by reacting in such a hostile manner to the people saying Lamb of God sucks. I recommend you edit the last paragraph to be constructive to make Lamb of God look better in the eyes of their detractors. Use intelligent sentences, so that they either have to also speak intelligently, or look like idiots.
I’d have to say that Mr. Reznor has been doing this for quite some time now… so, not a new concept.
This post is 9 months old. No sense in editing now. That’s the mood I was in and I probably had a few beers in me when I wrote it. As far as the title goes, I figured I might as well fix that. I saw it awhile back and was too lazy to fix it at the time.
In all honesty though, if I were to edit it today I would most likely remove the last two paragraphs all together. They were the current band I was really in to at the moment and since then I have found many more bands that are on the same plain if not a bit above it, that I like. Also since then I have come to realize (I don’t know why it took me so long) that 97% of the people that comment like that on Blabbermouth are just idiots in the first place and have nothing better to do than to rag on every band that is mainstream metal.
I apologize, I found it through StumbleUpon so I thought that it was new, I really have no idea when Lamb of God’s newest album came out. But I’m glad you see the issues, and enjoy.
Lamb of God is trash. Better American metal? Cephalic Carnage, Brain Drill, Psyopus, Origin, Skinless, Cattle Decapitation… seriously…
Refer to my last Comment above “QueresChicle”. I’m loving Origin and Cattle Decapitation these days.
